Farnaz Dehghani is an Iranian-German visual artist and architect based in Germany. She studied architecture in Iran before completing a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in Florence, Italy.
Working across painting, drawing, narrative illustration, and mixed media, her practice explores the intersections of memory, censorship, migration, and embodied experience. Drawing on personal histories of political restriction, displacement, and cultural transition, she develops layered visual languages in which fragmentation, repair, and material transformation become central methods of making.
Architecture continues to inform her artistic practice through an attention to structure, space, and the relationship between body and environment. Her recent works integrate painting with textile interventions and altered objects, examining how trauma and absence become inscribed onto both material surfaces and lived experience.
